Designing with Light: The Professional Lens — Now Approved by Engineers Ireland for 21 CPD Hours

We’re thrilled to announce that Engineers Ireland has officially approved our Designing with Light: The Professional Lens course — now recognised for 21 CPD hours.

This is a major step forward for lighting education in Ireland. Designed for architects, engineers, and design professionals, the course offers practical, research-led insights into healthy lighting design, human-centric design, and technical lighting principles.

Over three months, participants will:

  • Learn through expert-led online lighting design lectures
  • Join two immersive in-person workshops in our professional darkroom
  • Gain hands-on experience with light meters, flicker meters, and more

We created this hybrid programme to help professionals design consciously with light — blending creativity, science, and technology to elevate every project.

Willie Duggan

Willie grew up in the family business, stacking boxes, wiring fittings and making deliveries. He went on to study engineering and then lighting design. After working as a lighting designer in London he returned to lead our design team. You can also find Willie chasing a ball round the rugby pitch, at a gig or threading the boards on stage.
